Drawing paper, drawing carton, hard paper. This is how we know it from school. The correct name is drawing cardboard, and as well as children, pupils, and students in all types of schools, technicians, engineers, and artists also use it.
Drawing or watercolour cardboard is suitable for both dry and wet art techniques. One side is smooth and the other side is porous with a coarser texture on which drawings in pencil, charcoal, crayon, wax, chalk, pastel, and ink stand out. Due to its higher weight, it is suitable for painting with watercolour paints, tempera paints or markers.
Squared drawing cardboard has one side printed with 5 × 5 mm squares, which is a great aid for laying out an embroidery pattern, for example, and will be appreciated by technicians, too.
Drawing cardboard is available in A1, A2, A3 and A4 formats with the weight of 220 g/m2. Similarly to sketchbooks and drawing pads, we also offer 180-g/m2 paper, but only in the A3 and A4 formats. The cardboard is made of white wood-free paper in both cases. We deliver it as loose sheets.
