Drafting cardboard

It is known as a drafting cardboard or a drafting paper in a slightly non-standard size. It is a cardboard sheet with slightly larger than standardized dimensions of the A series of formats.

Example: the standard A4 size is 210 × 297 mm, the drafting cardboard is “a bit bigger” – 230 × 330 mm – so that the A4 just fits on it and there is still some space around it.

It is particularly useful for technicians, craftsmen, or architects for drafting technical drawings, but it is equally useful for art classes in primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, art schools, or art colleges as well as in artistic practice.

The cardboard is suitable for both dry and wet art techniques. One side is smooth and the other side is porous with a coarser texture on which drawings in pencil, charcoal, crayon, wax, chalk, pastel, and ink stand out. Due to its higher weight, it is suitable for painting with watercolour paints, tempera paints or markers.

The drafting cardboard is available in A1+, A2+, A3+, and A4+ formats with the weight of 200 g/m2. It is made of white wood-free paper. We deliver it as loose sheets.
